How does a choir community stay connected during a pandemic?

Mosaic is a choir of 75 based in Cambridge, New Zealand. Like ordinary people all over the world, our un-auditioned group of singers were affected by the ongoing 2020 COVID-19 pandemic.

Motivated by our love for singing and for one another, members learnt new skills to keep connected during the 46 days of 2020 Lockdown in Aotearoa, New Zealand.

Gathering together wasn't an option so our group found new ways to maintain connection with Zoom sing-along sessions, collaborative songwriting and sharing everyday stories of life in lockdown.

Through the process we learnt about resilience, community and creative expression.
